Leesville, La. – A 13 year-old drunk driving awareness spokesperson from Washington D.C. is inviting other teenagers to submit their music and be considered for a drunk driving awarenss CD.

Singer/songwriter Becca Levy is the national spokesperson for the Kids Saving Kids CD campaign that will mark the first time that talented young musicians from across America will work together to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving.

“I became aware of some sobering statistics and decided that this was an area that I wanted to try to make a difference in,” Levy said when explaining her reasons for focusing on drunk driving awareness through her music. “People are dying at an alarming rate because they drive after drinking. Its just stupid and it is 100 percent avoidable.”

A total of 30 artists from across the country will be chosen to appear on a digitally distributed CD, and the music of these talented young people will be available for free downloading by anyone in America.

Sugarland, Texas resident, 14 year-old Sean Hardin was recently selected to represent the Houston area. “I’m excited to be a part of this campaign to save other kids lives with my music,” Hardin said.

Teenagers throughout Vernon Parish who would like to submit their own music for consideration are asked to submit a MP3 or a WAV file of one of their songs. The song should be accompanied with their information, such as their name, age, hometown and parents’ contact information. A person must be under the age of 18 to participate and they must have at least one recorded original song to submit.

Music can be submitted through email at ksksubmit@stopddnow.com. Participants and their families may also learn more about the Kids Saving Kids program and its requirements at www.myspace.com/ksk01.

“I am very excited to join forces with many talented young performers,” Levy said. “This is a great way for kids from across America to work together and save lives. To be able to achieve that through our music is amazing.”
