In today’s music universe Becca Levy is a rapidly rising star.

Displaying a level of achievement that belies her age, the Washington D.C. native spent the last year appearing at concerts, performing the National Anthem at major sporting events, writing and recording songs with national level musicians, and acting as spokesperson for a drunk driving prevention group.

All this by the age of sixteen…

With influences ranging from Amy Lee to Kelly Clarkson, Becca headed into the studio in Boston to record her latest release “Homage.” The record features five songs written by artists Becca loves and respects. “These songs are time tested hits that have withstood the various fads that have occurred in my life,” says the young singer/songwriter. “I tried to make these songs my own while still paying tribute to the original versions.”

Recently, Becca headed into another studio, this time in Silver Spring, Maryland, to record an original song she wrote to bring attention to school bullying. Once the song reached the right ears, she was asked to become the National Campaign Chairperson for the “Right Now” anti-bullying campaign. “This is a cause I truly believe in. School and Internet bullying are a national epidemic and the people dying are my age. I hope to use music to bring attention to this important issue.”
